Techtron PPS
The Techtron PPS family, based on semi-crystalline polymeric polysulfide of phenylene, has been developed to bridge the gap in both performance and price between standard thermoplastic materials [e.g. PA, POM, PET] and advanced engineering plastics [e.g. PBI, PI, PAI, PEEK].
Main features
- Very high maximum permissible operating temperature in air [220°C continuously, up to 260°C for short periods].
- High mechanical strength, rigidity and creep resistance, even at elevated temperatures
- Excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance
- Very good dimensional stability
- Excellent wear and abrasion resistance [Techtron HPV PPS]
- Physiological inertia [approprié pour contact alimentaire]
- Excellent resistance to high-energy radiation [rayons gamma et rayons X]
- Good resistance to UV rays
- Low intrinsic flammability
- Good dielectric and electrical insulation properties
