Symalit 1000 PVDF
This fluoropolymer has good mechanical properties combined with excellent chemical resistance. This versatile technical material is especially suited to the manufacture of components for the petrochemical, chemical, metallurgical, paper, food, textile, pharmaceutical and nuclear industries.
Main features
- Maximum permissible operating temperature in high air (150 °C continuous)
- Excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance
- Moderate mechanical strength, stiffness and creep resistance
- High impact resistance
- Very low water absorption
- Excellent resistance to UV rays (> 232 nm) and weathering
- Physiological inertness (composition suitable for contact with food)
- Low intrinsic flammability
- Good electrical insulation properties
Applications
PVDF 1000 is an unreinforced, highly crystalline fluoropolymer combining good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties with excellent chemical resistance. It also has good resistance to high-energy radiation (considerably better than most other fluoropolymers). In addition, the composition of the raw material used to manufacture PVDF 1000 semi-finished products complies with legislation relating to plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
